Photoionization from excited Mg atoms

چکیده

We present the theoretical results of a comprehensive study of the photoionization from excited Mg atoms in the spectral region below the Mg II 3p P limit using a B-spline-based configuration interaction approach. The variation of the doubly excited S , P , D , and F resonance structures along the autoionization series is discussed. The theoretical resonant energy and width, derived from the energy variation of the scattering phase shift across each resonance, are also presented.
